Today I want to say thank you for coming to visit my new blog and shop Sassafras Rags. I'm just getting started in this new venture but if you've followed me through Vintiquities you know my style and the kinds of things that I LOVE and you will most definitely be seeing those things here.
I've been wanting to create layered apparel for some time now and I have to say that after this first project I'm smitten with the process, though time consuming, I feel it's going to be a lot of fun.
So I'll just get on with it and share my first creation with you...
This plus sz 3x dress is full of layers and is a flowing baby doll style that is roomy and comfortable.
It comes with a matching scarf that can be used around the neck or is thin enough to use as a head wrap.
The front is covered with ruffly layers of cream, tan and white fabrics rescued and refashioned from cast off apparel. There is even a roomy pocket to hide your favorite objects.
Notice the many layers on the sleeves and the fun ruffle along the edge of the inner layer by the neck.
Here is the entire front without the scarf so you can see all the details.
The back of the dress has just as many layers and ruffles as the front.
See the close ups of the back details. So much delicious layered detail.
I hope you like this dress, I tried it on and fought with myself about passing it on. This dress is a 3x but would easily fit a 2x as well because of the flowy ruffle baby doll style.
It is available to purchase from my online store Vintiquities Workshop below...
